The included DisplayPort cable isn't particularly good. All of these issues immediately disappeared when I picked up a more reputable DisplayPort cable, plus some occasional resume-from-sleep and initial startup issues that I'd had since first buying the monitor three years ago also went away. My replacement DisplayPort cable had issues with flickering, random link failures, and resume-from-sleep problems. I recently got a replacement DisplayPort cable after I accidentally bent the included one while moving stuff around. This monitor is also highly dependent on having a good DisplayPort cable.
